The Han River Bridge is the first rotating bridge designed and built by Vietnamese engineers and workers, and it is also the only rotating bridge in Vietnam today. This bridge symbolizes new vitality, the ambition of Da Nang City’s rise, and the pride of the people of Da Nang City.

Construction of the Han River Bridge in Da Nang started in 1998 and was officially opened to traffic in 2000. The two main roads connecting the east and west of Da Nang City are important bridges for transportation, tourism, awakening the city's economic potential, and are the cultural imprint of Da Nang people.
The biggest feature of the Han River Swing Arm Bridge is that it can rotate 90 degrees. The middle section of the bridge can be divided into two parts and rotated 90 degrees around the axis along the river flow, creating a new channel for large ships to pass through. Around 1 am is the time when the Han River Bridge rotates, and depending on the number of ships, the bridge will return to its original position at 2 am or 4 am. So tourists need to pay attention to the time to have the best experience.
