Bau Trang, or White Sand Dunes , is one of Southeast Asia's only desert areas, a beautiful expanse of sand dunes and sandy beaches. There are no camels here; instead, shepherds graze their cattle in the vast sandy areas. Perhaps the most striking part of the area is a small lagoon filled with lotus flowers. There is also a small pine forest beside the lake, and the wind is cool even in the hot Asian desert.
