Day 1Hoi An Half-Day Tour & Lantern Making Class
Step back in time on a day walking exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed ancient Vietnamese city of Hoi An. A commercial hub between East and West, the city's well-preserved buildings display a fascinating blend of past and present architectural styles.
Meet your guide and group near the city center and head to your first stop on the tour, a traditional lantern factory. Learn how to make your own Hoi An paper lanterns, choose your favorite colors, and decorate them however you wish. To commemorate this great experience, you can take your lantern home as a special, one-of-a-kind keepsake!
After the course, you will continue to explore the city on foot and visit some of the most popular tourist landmarks, including the Phuc Kien Community Hall, a sacred building with a unique architectural style, and the Japanese Covered Bridge, which was originally built in the 1590s but was razed It was restored in 1986 after being leveled. You will also stop at Phung Hung Ancient House, a famous building in the city that was awarded the title of "National Historic and Cultural Site" in 1993. After the tour, you are free to return to your accommodation or have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area at your own expense.
