Da Nang International Fireworks Festival
With a long coastline and many scenic spots, Da Nang City is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam for domestic and foreign tourists. For more than a month, the number of tourists visiting Da Nang has been increasing. Tourists want to come to the city to enjoy the night of lights and shadows during the International Fireworks Festival. The event has become the city’s calling card, helping to establish Da Nang as “Asia’s first festival destination.”
The 2019 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, titled "Stories on the River", was held from June 1 to July 6, attracting participation from eight teams from Vietnam, Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, Italy, the United Kingdom and China. The 2019 International Fireworks Festival has five competitions with different themes, including Roots, Buds, Love, Colors and Going to the Sea. Through the performances of artists and the top fireworks displays of each team, visitors can enjoy a wonderful and unique feast of sound and light.
In the 10 years since it was held, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has become an annual traditional festival and has been continuously innovated. The number of participating teams has increased year by year, the quality of performances has been greatly improved, and the number of tourists visiting Da Nang City has also continued to increase, thus helping to expand the festival. Da Nang City is built into a civilized, friendly and safe festival city.
According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department, during the Da Nang Fireworks Festival, which was held for more than a month, the number of tourists visiting Da Nang City reached approximately 110,000, a year-on-year increase of 11%; the hotel room occupancy rate reached 65%-100% .
From a two-day international fireworks display competition to a one- or two-month Da Nang International Fireworks Festival and a series of activities, Da Nang is a step towards becoming Asia's new fireworks city. Every summer, during the Fireworks Festival, the city on the banks of the Han River becomes the most lively and attractive stage in Vietnam, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
